We are in need of 1 volunteer to assist with the general housekeeping duties at our domestic violence shelter. Our shelter is a big old house, and needs daily housekeeping duties to keep it healthy and clean for our residents.
While our residents and staff help with daily chores, it's helpful to have additional help with deep cleaning. This includes weekly, monthly and quarterly household needs, usually including:
- Cleaning windows
- Wiping out cupboards
- Deep cleaning/washing carpeted floors
- Sanitizing toys
- Cleaning yard play areas
- Cleaning/sanitizing youth play areas
- Organizing donations, food, cupboards
- All-over dusting
- All-over sanitization of frequently used areas
As needed, additional cleaning and organizing is also needed at our Outreach Office, particularly when there are large donations to be sorted and throughout the holiday season.
