At Big Brothers Big Sisters, we make a difference by creating one-to-one mentoring relationships between youth (Littles) and caring adult role models (Bigs). These "matches" are professionally supported by trained staff.
Become a Community-Based Big! Meet up with your Little after school, on the weekends, or in the evenings to hang out in the community, talk or try new activities together. Sign up as a Big Brother, Big Sister....or a Big Couple or Big Family, including others in your household in the volunteering fun!
Bigs are asked to spend about 4-6 hours each month with their Little, typically about two meet-up's per month. Volunteer mentors (Bigs) coordinate match times and activities directly with the Little's parent. Matches get to know each other and develop their friendships through various activities they enjoy such as taking a walk, attending sporting events, visiting the library or sharing a favorite hobby, etc. The possibilities are limitless and flexible.
For this program option, you must be at least 18 years old, have a driver’s license, access to a vehicle and auto insurance.
