Who We Are
The FDL Public Library supports a high quality of life in Fond du Lac through reading, lifelong learning and community involvement. We offer two locations -- the Main library at 32 Sheboygan St. and our Express branch by Festival Foods. We also operate the Chapter 52 used bookstore at 52 Sheboygan St.
What We Do
The library offers books, dvds, audiobooks, music cds, presentation equipment, outdoor games, cake pans and a variety of other materials that can be borrowed for educational and personal enjoyment. At the main library, members of the public may also use internet computers, printing, scanners, faxing, and laminating services.
Special services include:
- Book a Librarian, an appointment based service for individual assistance with technology, job hunting, genealogy or other research;
- the Idea Studio, a makerspace with several 3D printers, a recording studio, demonstration kitchen, a sewing machine, sublimation machine, vinyl cutter, and a variety of tools to spark your inner creativity and innovation;
- the Cindy Barden Teachers' Resource Center, offering educational games, STEAM toys, and resources to support parents and teachers instruct students of all ages.
