Who We Are
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
What We Do
The Salvation Army's mission spread across the country, and reached the streets of Fond du Lac in 1890. We've worked with our community since our arrival, building services that now include the county's largest food pantry, the largest summer cold lunch program, the only warming shelter and a wealth of year round and seasonal social service, crisis prevention and self-sufficiency programs. We meet basic human needs first, then offer spiritual guidance and motivation to help individuals distance themselves from the circumstances that create crisis. We do this with the help and support of our community - together, we help individuals and families believe in themselves and feel their self worth. Working together, we bring hope back into their lives.
