As part of our commitment to building stronger communities, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Volunteer Home Build Assistants. You will play a crucial role in constructing homes for families in need, regardless of prior construction experience. Position Overview:
taking calls from customers and delivering messages while also using basic office equipment like faxes or scanners. They help maintain files to keep track of important documents, organize travel arrangements, manage supply inventory and perform data entry as required.
Job Duties:
- Assist with light office duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and organizing documents.
- Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate staff members or departments.
- Greet visitors and provide them with information about the organization or direct them to the appropriate contact.
- Assist with data entry tasks, updating contact lists, and maintaining databases.
- Help with preparing mailings, including stuffing envelopes and affixing postage.
- Collaborate with staff members and fellow volunteers to ensure that office tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Follow instructions and guidelines provided by volunteer coordinators or supervisors.
- Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner when interacting with the public.
- Attend volunteer orientation sessions and training workshops as required.
- Maintain open communication with volunteer coordinators regarding availability, interests, and any concerns or feedback.
