School Based Mentor (Big) is matched with elementary-aged child (Little) at a school near their home or work. These one-to-one "matches" meet weekly during the school year. Weekly meet-ups last 30-45 minutes and occur only during school hours, on school grounds, typically over lunch or recess time.
Matches get to know each other and develop their friendships through various activities such as board games, cards, puzzles, coloring and more. Program provides games & other materials in mentoring boxes at each school location.
By having another positive role model at school, the child's social, communication, and friendship skills often improve. The Littles always look forward to the day their Big comes to see them!
For this program option, you must be at least 16 years old, have a valid drivers license and auto insurance.
